01/31/2011

Asheville Hospitalist Group, a practice of Mission Medical Associates, is pleased to welcome Christopher Seiders, M.D. Dr. Seiders joins a team of doctors who specialize in caring for adult patients who are hospitalized at Mission Hospital.

A native of Salt Lake City, Dr. Seiders comes to Asheville from Charleston, S.C., where he previously worked with Apogee Inpatient Physicians and Coastal Inpatient Physicians. He earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and then completed his residency training in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee Baptist Hospital in Nashville. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

In addition to stabilizing patients and diagnosing their condition, Dr. Seiders is responsible for explaining and communicating information about the patient’s health problem and the treatment plan to the patient, the family and other doctors. Dr. Seiders has professional interests in improving access to care for the medically underserved and those in rural areas.

“I was drawn here by both the region and the organization,” said Dr. Seiders. “I’ve always enjoyed visiting Asheville during my training and on vacations, and I thought it would be a great place to practice medicine as well as to play during my time off. I also was attracted by Mission’s reputation and how positively patients refer to Mission and the care they have received here. I’m glad to be working at such a well-respected and exceptional hospital.

“We are excited to have Dr. Seiders join our team and work with us to deliver high-quality care to patients,” said Jeffrey Moreadith, M.D., managing physician for Asheville Hospitalist Group.
